AFTER EVOLUTION INTERVIEW

Interview with Nikolette from After Evolution.

𝟏. 𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥? 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐞𝐬, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞? 𝐈𝐟 𝐧𝐨 , 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧!

Yes and no. Because we lean more towards to epic orchestral music with the metal elements but symphonic metal is the easiest explanation to the music genre we play. But when I was growing up I got that idea from symphonic and gothic metal bands like Nightwish and Evanescence so that's what drew me to that style. Those bands. But I wanted to make it more orchestrated and more epic.

𝟐. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦?

My inspiration for theme and lyrics comes from my own story I have created for my band and album. The music and orchestra inspiration comes from film and game music and epic orchestral music like Audiomachine, Two steps from hell etc. so that's it, I love creating stories, playing wth characters and with music, trying to reach something more than just a empty melodies about nothing, so my inspiration is also to connect amazing story with the music together!

𝟑. 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡.

My experience is very good with WormHoleDeath, we got a great promotion and the promotion continues, our manager Carlo Bellotti is very helpful and trying to really direct us and help us in many ways possible. When I need anything to know I get answers almost immediately and when I do not understand something he is really happy to explain us anything. So it is our first music label and I am happy it is WormHoleDeath because our experience is very positive and I know a lot of musicians who are very unsatisfied with their managers, labels etc

𝟒. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝?

The future of our music? I hope we will be really succesful because we really work hard for that! I want to focus more on making our music more epic, more orchestrated and really get a 1000% potencial from that symphonic metal/rock genra and make it really focused on orchestras. Make it more emotional, continue with the story in the next album and hopefully play the biggest festivals on the world! I wanna spread the stories, the music, those melodies to the world and share that with our listeners because I really think it is worth their time. So that's my and my band's wish and hopes for the future of our music!

𝟓. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬?

Depends which song they will listen to. If this one song will be "War of the World" it will be really heavy, dark themed song about escape from the underground city to the above and see the post apocalyptic world. Very powerful song about not being afraid to do the move, to move forward to what you really wanna do. If the one song they will listen to will be "Nothing left but pain" it will be very contrast sad but also hopeful atmosphere and about being reborned and to never give up on anything even if the way to the final destination is hard and you have to do many sacrifices. So it really depends. Every song have its different personality and atmosphere and background but all the songs in one are just connected into one huge amazing inspiration  fantasy story.

𝟔. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭?

That our music is not only about composing album with random songs we just composed because we had mood to do it. But it is really complex album with build up story and every song carries its own original power, message, energy and atmosphere and it is all the part of one story I have created as I have already mentioned. All this is also because lot of people were asking us "what is the story and meaning behind the name After Evolution", so here we are! Also a new fan can expect very orchestrated metal songs, some are much darker than others, some are just more lighter and some are really powerful. So everyone can find their favourite one!

𝟕. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭?

I wanted to compose music in general since I was a child. I wanted to be a film or movie or game trailer composer. So when I was 9 years old I have composed my first song. But somehow I composed also the vocals, the text and it sounded great. I remember that song until there days very clear and later I was working on that skill of being able to write a music and I got inspired by other artists like Evanescence, Nightwish, Audiomachine, Hans Zimmer etc. and then I combined every element I like about all of this into my own style of composing and music and that's it. And why I have started, I just felt drawn to the music since the very early years of my childhood. There were still melodies in my head and I was addicted to music and listening to music and still I am and I had the urge to do that as well also because I loved that so much. So that's why I started.

𝟖. 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 , 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞!

Thank you all so much for your support and listening to our music! We are so happy you took time to read this interview because I love to share with you our work and how we work on every song so thank you so much for that and I hope we will see you soon on stage! Keep safe! And to all new potencial fans it is the same and if you are reading these lines I am happy you took that time as well and I really hope you loved our album as much as we do love our album as a band and I hope I would be able to satisfy your mind and your ears with more and more great music in the future!
