Grand Public - Goutte à goutte Review

Overview:

French canadian band Grand Public unveils first EP "IDÉAL TEMPO" on March 24, 2023. Composed of Gregory Paquet (The Stills, Molly Rankin of Alvvays, Peter Peter) and three childhood friends who have played together in several bands over the years, Grand Public took advantage of the pandemic era to boil down the project, refine their sound and write several songs; four of them were done with producer Dominic Vanchesteing (Bernardino Femminielli, Marie Davidson, Julia Daigle). Recorded in a few days at Alex Crow's studio in the heart of the Plateau in Montreal, the band worked on every detail of the songs and played with vocal harmonies for the first time. The EP's cover art was also signed by rising Montreal visual artist Dan Climan.

Review:

I really absolutely adored this song, it just has a quality and softness that's cherishable. It's was so melodic and warm! It's one of those songs that feels like a blanket. It really had such a 90s vibe mixed with modern indie. Quite a nice combination.  The tones and the sort of distorted video have such a nostalgic ring. The whole project has a really refined and smoothe quality about it. Really just a great jam to zone out to! Reccomended.
