𝟏. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐭?
The feeling of power. It is energizing and makes you feel strong. There is lots of variety in the metal scene and that is a good thing too. The metal community is also something to belong to. Something that is different but still well known. I like that it has become so popular in Finland. When I was a kid there were almost no other metalheads around where I grew up.
𝟐. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦?
The band started in 1989 when I was seven years old. I did not know the guys back then and I lived in the south of Finland as they were in the north. Some demos were made and gigs were played before the band broke up only to be put back together 30 years later. You can read the full biography from our website: https://archedfire.com/the-story/
𝟑. 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞? 𝐎𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧?
I need to do something creative every day. Music has been my passion since I was a kid, but I also like to invent games and art or write something. I also like to do tutorials and programs or solve problems. It is good to learn something new everyday.
𝟒. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭?
A great song needs something that affects people. It can be touching lyrics, a good riff, rhythm or a melody. Sometimes it’s just one climax of a song that gives you goosebumps. Judas Priest’s Blood Red Skies is a good example of a song that really hits you in the C section.
𝟓. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡
They are great! Our cooperation has been good. We have full freedom to our artistic output and that is essential. It is important that they have connections all around the world and we get the music out to as many as possible.
𝟔. 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫?
Mutant Blast! You gotta check them out. I was at their gig in the summer and it was a blast. I know the guys way back.
𝟕. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬?
We just released the first single, ”Fear”/”Trigger” from our second album ”Trust Betrayal” that will be out in the spring of 2023. There is also another single coming out before that.
𝟖. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠?
It is the satisfaction of a finished job. Many times I get an idea that I just need to get out of my head and send a demo to the band. Then we tweak it out together and the result is versatile. It is so good to get the input from the whole band so that the song sounds like us. Everyone of us has our different tastes and that gives the music its distinct style.
